Time for a way overdue update.
This will probably be the second to last update.  I've simply almost run out of parts and jobs to do.

I used a new original style A6 compressor.  I also applied a reproduction label.  Original mounts were sandblasted and painted.

After everything was hooked up I pulled a vacuum on the system and charged it with R134 refrigerant.

It now blows VERY cold air!

The new rear bumper was installed and the backup and license plate lights were wired up. This really looks cool!

The original dash pad has been restored and dyed.  I reinstalled it prior to installing the windshield.

More brand new glass!  Front and rear, along with all the beautiful stainless trim I spent days repairing and polishing.

Brand new reproduction wheel well trim and lower body trim is on and looking great!

Next I installed the headlamp bezels and grill.  Both are the original parts cleaned up and polished.  They arent perfect but look amazing.

The front bumper (also original) really finished off the front end nicely.

Next comes the hood.  Installed and adjusted perfectly!

Many small details were finished, including reproduction labels, windshield washer bottle, squirters and lines, under hood insulation, cowl screen, wipers and a million other small items.

All I've really got left to do is to get the new wheels on and put a few miles on her to make sure there are no squeaks, rattles or other problems.

Just in time for some awesome summer cruising!!!!.

She is one beautiful car!
