My new distraction
This is how I found her.
As is the norm I wasn't looking for another but it came to me. She was sitting along the road that led to my shop. I drove by her for a month and eyed her with desire.
I finally worked up the nerve to approach the owner and we struck a very fair deal.

She's got an all original 265 V8, the numbers match!
I've rebuilt the carb and replaced the radiator hoses.
The Powerglide shifts like a champ also.

Someone had the great idea to paint the interior red and put some cheesy red carpet in.
I installed the seat cover to keep the original seat from getting any worse.
It appears as though there are only 70,000 miles on her and she runs strong! Just a twist of the key gets her going and purring like a kitten.
I also replaced the 14 inch rims and bias ply tires with the correct 15 inch rims and new radial tires. She rides like a dream with the new tires. The speedo is dead on after I replace the speedo cable.

This is how she looked from the factory. I hope to put her back to this condition when I'm through with the 57.
Until then I'll drive and enjoy her in the summer months.
